Resilient

I don’t remember ever preparing messages that I’ve so needed.  I was excited when I was asked to spend 4 days teaching 50 of the national and regional leaders of Navigator collegiate ministries next week.  I was stunned when they asked me to bring a series of messages on resilience… when I’m feeling so fragile.  So, I’m both excited and scared.  I’m excited because this is so needed, so personal and so powerful.  I’m scared because I feel so fragile and if Holy Spirit does not come through it will be such a loss.  So, please pray with me: “Almighty God, please come into David’s desperate fragility and demonstrate Your Spirit and Your power.”  (1 Corinthians 2:1-5)

P.S. Thanks for praying for me as I was teaching and leading this last weekend.  I felt great joy and freedom in my spirit.  Although it was hard to read the immediate impact, in both cases folks came to me sharing how deeply they had been impacted by my teaching on the same topics more than a year ago.  So, I trust that God is growing fruit that lasts.
