Daily Pressure

This morning my heart is aching over two of the most promising younger leaders in our work in the Middle East.  One is in the hospital suffering from a serious physical disease.  The other is at home suffering from a serious spiritual disease.  Several mornings this week I’ve woken up sad over these and some other crises in our ministries.  The Lord showed me that I'm experiencing what Paul was describing when he wrote, “Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for all the churches.  Who is weak without my being weak?  Who is led into sin without my intense concern?”  (2 Corinthians 11:28-29)  And he showed me that is what prompted Paul to pray without ceasing.  He converted his worries into prayer.  Would you carry this with me by praying for these fellow workers?
