Standing Firm

Those in our Spiritual Warfare Learning Initiative group are experiencing an increase in tests and opportunities.  Some have ended up in the hospital from unusual medical challenges.  Others are hearing their phone ringing with urgent requests for help.  Others have experienced more direct attacks.  But in every case they are overcoming these challenges because greater is He.  So, we need your prayers.  Please pray: God of Angel Armies, help David and your servants to stand firm against the enemy, and equip them for every attack and opportunity coming their way.

I feel led to also share this with you: Our stories matter.  Yesterday I received an email entitled “Don’t Waste Your Pain” from our friend Leslie Leyland Fields.  We met in college and she is now a very successful author who has helped me a lot over the last year or so. (link to her email)  I especially noticed her message because it sounds so much like my book named Don’t Waste The Pain: Learning To Grow Through Suffering (link to my book).  And I was reminded how much our stories matter, how much your story matters, and how important it is to reflect on our stories and write them down.  This summer I’m helping two of our grandsons to write stories from their lives, because it matters.  For what it’s worth….
