Thank before you bank
Would you fly across the country to say “Thank you”? That’s what Renée and I will do this weekend into the coming week because our largest supporting church suddenly asked us to come and speak. Years ago I forgot to thank my father for a very generous gift, and he was (rightly) offended. Since then one of my mottos has been “thank before you bank.” So, I’m glad to go to thank that church and several other friends who have partnered with us for years. Please pray with me from 2 Corinthians 9:12: “May this trip overflow with many thanksgivings to God!”
PrayFirst,
David
P.S. Thanks for praying for those two situations where I was trying to help good people who are doing good things to get along with each other. God is clearly at work in the first situation. Both sides are moving toward one another in humility, and continuing to seek my help. The other situation, not so much. My heart is hurting for that one, but my heart is free. I’ve done what I could and I’m leaving it with God.
