Collaborate!

My team gathers for a week about three times a year to work together on strategic issues that we face in leading our work.  We meet this week and next. 

We always face a variety of issues.  Some of them are confidential.  Some seem too complex to explain in a paragraph.  So I often puzzle over how to ask you to pray.  I usually land on one issue that seems prominent for that particular meeting.  This time the issue is effective collaboration.  Most members of my team travel about 50% of the time.  And one lives on the other side of the world.  So, we are rarely all in the same place at the same time.  Plus we all come from different nations and cultures.  You can imagine that effective collaboration is a challenge! 

So, we have invited Peter Udall to work with us as an Executive Officer.  Peter will serve in a number of responsibilities, including helping us to collaborate more effectively.  And in this meeting we will also focus on a number of issues related to helping our entire worldwide partnership to work together more effectively.  So, please pray that God will equip and enable us to work together as in 1 Corinthians 12 Paul described the Body of Christ working together.
