Reset
These last nine months have been the hardest we’ve experienced in decades… even harder than the crash that smashed my face two years ago… maybe as hard as walking through cancer with our son Ian 16 years ago. But August feels like a turning point. It began with a wonderful reunion with all of our children and grandchildren, 29 of us now (Press here for a short video of highlight, and turn on the sound!). The month led into what I’m now seeing as a multifaceted RESET: Resetting this fall to a much lighter load of travel and work while continuing the kind of ministry that we’ve done with The Navigators for many years. Resetting to add a new set of skills and knowledge so that I can better partner with Renée in her new commitment to deliverance and spiritual warfare ministry. Resetting from being very depleted into more resilient rhythms of life and ministry. So, please pray from Psalm 23 with us: “Lord, You are David & Renée’s shepherd, so provide all that they need. Make them lie down in green pastures. Lead them beside quiet waters. Restore their souls. Guide them in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Amen!”
Pray First!
David
P.S. Later this week we’re going to Scotland to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. We’ve been planning and saving for this for years. The first few days we’ll be floating on “quiet waters” through the canals between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Then we’ll explore Scottish highlands, lochs and castles. Please do pray for us to experience even more of Psalm 23.
