War Room

Last fall I sat with the leader of one of the legendary movements of the Gospel in North Africa and asked him to unpack what he meant when he said that fasting and prayer is their primary missions strategy.  He peered through my eyes into my soul and said, “The first thing to keep in mind is that this is war.”  Indeed.  So, when our team meets for a week each quarter it’s a bit like a war room where we pray and study the word and plan our next steps in serving movements of the Gospel around the world.   Remember how Joshua and later David learned the importance of inquiring of the Lord for their next steps?  Please pray with us, “Lord of Hosts, please unveil Your strategies as David & Renée and their team gather.”   (Note: Renée and I are participating via video as much as possible after contracting Covid during our recent travels.)

P.S. The prayer gathering of 800 workers who work among Muslims around the world was the most powerful and inspiring gathering that I’ve experienced.  The words of every song were transformed by singing them with hundreds of kingdom warriors whose intensity would drown out the band at time.  Bold faith meeting bold faith created a conflagration that made it a very bad 72 hours for the unseen forces that resist the power of the Gospel.
